balanced stay
hot selection helpful staff good location broken tap damp feeling grubby skirting
the breakfast offered a hot selection and i found that quite satisfying. the hotel's location worked well for accessing the ferry to orkney. staff were friendly and helpful .
My chalet felt a bit damp when i arrived. the bathroom tap was broken, spraying water. i noticed the chalet wasn't as clean as it could have been. Skirting boards behind the bed were grubby.

great dinner included breakfast good price old lodge outdated lodge hot shower
the location worked well for my trip to the ferry terminal. breakfast was included and i enjoyed it. the price for the room was reasonable (i thought). dinner in the restaurant was also good.
my room was in one of the lodges. it was old and felt outdated to me. the shower kept going hot and cold, a bit annoying.

early morning ferry clean room quick breakfast
the location was handy for my early morning ferry. my room was clean and quiet. breakfast service was quick, i got a tasty meal.
the bathroom fixtures showed obvious wear. i noticed some rust and discoloration. there was also a slight draft from the window.
