cheap pillows musty smell
The room was large and the bathroom, was also big.
The BED was not comfortable. The pillows felt really cheap and lumpy. There was also a weird musty smell in the room. I think the carpet needs replacing.

a relaxing retreat

great location bus stop
The communal lounge was a great spot. i loved the coffee machine. It made getting a caffeine fix so easy. plus, being so close to the bus stop meant exploring was simple, i did not need a car! it was very convenient for a short trip.
i noticed that the complimentary breakfast snacks were mostly pre-packaged. while i appreciate the thought, i would have liked a bit more variety or some fresh options. the pastries were fine, but some fresh fruit would have been lovely.

lovely decor spacious lounge helpful staff
The decor was lovely (I especially liked the attention to detail). I really appreciated having a lounge to relax in. Staff was helpful when I called with a question. The room had a mirror, shelf, power point, and lighting, made drying hair and applying makeup very easy.
I had no direct contact with anyone. The assistance number went unanswered.

A Nice Getaway

convenient location coffee machine easy communication
The self-serve coffee machine provided a lovely touch, especially enjoyed in the charming reading room. I walked 30 minutes to the pubs and Royal Mile. The location worked well for exploration. I found clear and easy communication regarding all services.
The room lacked daily cleaning. This affected the freshness of the space.
Service
9/10
The staff were friendly. Their cute attitude contributed greatly to my stay. They helped me with directions. I also got ideas on what to do and see around town.
Location
10/10
The hotel is located a fifteen-minute bus ride from the city centre. Holyrood Park is near the hotel, and that is a plus. Taxis were also easily accessible near the premises.
Dining
8/10
Complimentary snacks were provided in the sitting room. Such an appreciated treat! The arrangement offered a convenient alternative to a full cooked breakfast, particularly useful before hiking. I liked that it could be a grab-and-go situation
