the location proved convenient for accessing various attractions. the room had adequate space. the kitchenette was functional and assisted with meal preparation.

a perfect location
stone walls comfortable bed welcome gift
The room had beautiful exposed stone walls, and the bed was very comfortable. I watched tv in both the living area and the bedroom. The wine cooler held all my drinks perfectly. It was useful. A little box of biscuits left on the bed really surprised me.
The photos presented online misrepresented the actual room. I thought it was a suite. Navigating the medieval stone spiral staircase with luggage up to the fourth floor proved difficult. The lighting in the room was poor. It did not provide enough light.

clean room biscuit selection convenient location
The room had complementary biscuits and coffee. The room was clean upon arrival. The location near the castle was convenient.
The old spiral staircase was difficult to navigate with luggage.

Excellent location, historical feel
quiet room stone stairs clear direction easy access
The location was amazing for visiting the city. I enjoyed the exposed stone spiral stairs, it gave our room a historical feel. The room was quiet because it faced an inner courtyard. Directions for key and room access were clear, this was greatly appreciated.
The heating do not worked well. The radiator was barely warm.

A family run Thistle Cafe sits just outside the main door. It is worth a visit for breakfast. Plenty of tea, coffee, and milk were in the room.

The building seemed like entering a castle right from the street. A rounded stairway makes every walk a smile. Self check-in and check-out process were easy.

My room includes a big shower. The room offer a street view of the Royal Mile. A fridge and kitchen sink was provided for my use .

The location is central and a decent price. I was awoken by bagpipes playing most mornings, the apartment overlooked Lawnmarket. Everything was in easy walking distance from the accommodation.

the royal mile view studio apartment porteus had a great location on the upper royal mile. entry and check out instructions were communicated well. the room decor was excellent it also has a good wifi.
the stairs to the room was hard with heavy backpacks.
